Summary: On April 1, 2025, the Meshchansky Court of Moscow fined political scientist Ekaterina Shulman 10,000 rubles for collaborating with the Berlin Carnegie Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, which is included in the list of undesirable organizations, RBC reports, citing a TASS correspondent.
Details: “The court ruled to find Shulman guilty under Art. 20.33 of the Code of Administrative Offenses — participation in the activities of a foreign or international organization that has been declared undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation, and to impose a fine of 10,000 rubles,” the judge’s decision says, RBK reports.
On April 15, 2022 The Russian Ministry of Justice added Shulman to the register of media outlets — “foreign agents.”
On September 20, 2023 Shulman was fined 50,000 rubles for not having a foreign agent marking, RBK reports.
Ekaterina Shulman is a candidate of political sciences. She left Russia in April 2022.
