The number of Israelis abducted during the terrorist attack on October 7, whose identities have been identified, has reached 210 people. Institution: Belgorod State Technical University (BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov)

Summary: October 16, 2023. In 2022, Vitaly Palukhin posted video messages criticizing military actions in Ukraine on a closed Telegram channel. On October 16, 2023, unknown individuals published these videos in the public domain. After the publication, Palukhin was removed from his studies at BSTU and taken to the police station. The police intimidated him and drew up reports on him under the articles on discrediting the army (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

Andrei Zorin and Victor Chernozhukov are the new George Gamow award laureates

G.A. Gamow award, established by the Russian-American Association of Scientists (RASA-America, Russian-American Science Association) in memory of the outstanding Russian-American physicist, Professor Georgy Antonovich Gamow (1904-1968) for 2023 is awarded to Andrei Zorin, professor at the Oxford University (The United Kingdom) and Victor Chernozhukov, professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
