On October 20, 2022, the Tomsk Regional Court found physicist Alexander Lukanin guilty of treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code). Taking into account Article 64 of the Criminal Code, which provides for the imposition of a more lenient punishment than provided, he was sentenced to 7,5 years in a maximum security prison and restriction of freedom for two years.
