June 16, 2023. First-year student Dmitry Kuzmin, expelled for anti-war statements, told SOTA that a total of 8 students were expelled from St. Petersburg State University. The Ethics Commission of St. Petersburg State University reviewed 10 cases of students who allegedly violated the University Code. Eight students were expelled for criticizing the war and supporting the university associate professor and historian Mikhail Belousov, who was fired for his anti-war position (see Mikhail Belousov’s card in the T-invariant Chronicles). (According to data from Fontanka, 7 students were expelled. The editorial board of T-invarint has not yet been able to clarify the number of those expelled in the Belousov case).
October 10, 2023. Dmitry Kuzmin was expelled from the Herzen St. Petersburg Pedagogical University. The decision of the disciplinary commission, as Dmitry told the SOTA publication, is related to his anti-war solo picket, which he held on September 26. This is already Kuzmin’s second politically motivated expulsion.
October 17, 2023.. On October 10, Dmitry Kuzmin went out to picket the Kazan Cathedral with a poster with lines from Boris Grebenshchikov’s song “Get Out. Babylon,” reported Groza. The first letters of the words form the initials of President Putin. A week later, Kuzmin was detained for a solitary picket against the demolition of Ustinov’s house — Dmitry went out with a poster “Beglov, don’t be a nobody — save Ustinov’s house,” reported Groza.
October 27, 2023. Dmitry Kuzmin was detained upon leaving a detention center after 10 days of arrest, reported OVD-Info
November 12, 2023 Dmitry Kuzmin was detained when he went to a picket in support of RusNews journalist Maria Ponomarenko, convicted of “military fakes,” RusNews reported.
On November 17, 2023, the Primorsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested Dmitry Kuzmin for 10 days under the article on petty hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), reported OVD-Info lawyer Vladislav Sosensky, representing Kuzmin’s interests.
On November 27, 2023. A protocol was drawn up against Kuzmin for participating in an unauthorized picket, reports Sever.Realii.
